Dinner, Movie & A Dance: The Internet's Own Boy + Raw Thought

  • Starfish Mission 1535 Mission Street San Francisco United States (map)

(This be a POTLUCK! - bring yo best dish)

As believers, we often speak in idealistic terms of breaking down the walls of silo-ed information so that we can better solve the human problems of the world...our problems. But we almost never speak of the gatekeeper$ and those that police this information and knowledge that is rightly ours.

"The Internet's Own Boy" is a real world account of a young man who broke those walls down at scale, and how the gatekeepers broke him in return.

"Raw Thought" is a monthly music, art and dance celebration of Aaron Swartz's life and legacy inspired by his blog of the same name.

We are the "Davids" of the new internet. Let's learn about Aaron Swartz and keep him in our minds as we continue his legacy of tearing down the walls built by the "Goliaths".
